Sketchbook Project
The watercolor sketchbook series is a collection of daily, original mixed media pieces started in March of 2020 while self-distancing during a global pandemic. Our gallery closed March 14, 2020 to help protect the health of our community and we self-isolated to keep our global family safe. The thing that brings me the most peace, comfort, and beauty during times like these, is art and the creative process. The purpose of the project is to continue to be able to deliver small, affordable, mailable pieces from mailbox to mailbox. Each piece in the series has been done with a combination of gouache and watercolor in a watercolor sketchbook of 110lb acid free paper. The final of the 338 paintings were posted on June 7th, 2020 marking the reopening weekend of our gallery space.
